Where as in this comic I feel like it's just cute seeing the ML in awe of everything that the FL does, he's not any less genius than her, she just happens to have the right knowledge also I think it's great how she really does have the spot light in this comic and isn't shadowed by some exceedingly handsome ice cold male lead, ygm? That being said, MLs character is still brilliant as a main character who's set up very well for development and having some overall story arc yk. My favourite thing has to be the FL though, she's so smart and strong, usually FLs are called smart or strong but they're still less smart than the ML and it kinda sucks because yeah while she's better than those docile FLs she's still technically inferior to the ML. In general all the characters are amazing. The art is amazing, both characters are so cute and both strong and smart. If there's not a major story thread that explains that not all devils are evil (and also that classifying them all under the lump term of devil is probably like, super incorrect?) then I won't up my rating. I can't say much more without spoiling some later plot points, but it is frustrating. It comes across as confusing at best and lazy writing at its worst.
All of the humanoid devils or beasts seem to be completely rational yet our main characters have declared to kill them all? But they only do it sometimes and are otherwise chill with them? They'll even shop at their stores for crying out loud. Yet I cannot get over the weird setup of the "devils and evil beasts" who seem to be very much indistinguishable from humans in terms of having culture, community, and values. The fun human world object bleed over!! All fun and good stuff, but. Gotta love the large amount of martially trained ladies. The main characters are cute and refreshing, its nice to have such a doting, shy, and sweet boy as the ML. I want to rate this webcomic higher, and I honestly wish I could. Overall: 6/10 cuz it wasn’t particularly bad, it just wasn’t unique idk. not too much personality ig but she’s v mature and kinda funny and knows what’s up fls tolerable too so no worries, she’s actually quite capable and works well on her own which is great. interesting demon inclusion (gives me like spirited away vibes) but like again nothing out of the ordinary for an oi except for the mask part. lots of light jokes, seems to have an episodic feel with repeating character traits. romantic development is confusing too like when did you start liking her bud? as a tiny 12 yo…? was dying for the time skip cuz it bothered me so bad. honestly that probably set me off, like how she was drawn to be this malnourished little girl and he was way taller and seemed fully grown. Three years but they meet when she’s real young. basically the fl discovers this pseudo victorian european magic world has lots of korean elements just randomly thrown in there which is just so 😭
i usually complain about the plot bluffs but actually they’re fucking hilarious. How much he keeps running away from her and degrading himself. ml is super sweet but it’s a bit annoying
